Fall 2018 Enrollment Information

Families interested in enrolling full time or with dual-enrolled status (taking the majority of their courses with Cal Prep) for the Fall 2018 semester are required to attend a Parent-Student Information meeting. Click here for dates/times. Students who want to take a single course only do not have to attend an information session: they need to see their resident high school Academic Advisor to enroll.

Who may enroll at Cal Prep?

Any student may enroll if they reside in the Capistrano Unified School District’s attendance boundaries or a student who has been granted an inter-district transfer from a neighboring district or county.

Please note: Online learning is NOT for everyone. It requires a great deal of self-discipline and self-monitoring; common characteristics of independent learners. Online classes also require a great deal of reading and interacting with others through the use of discussion boards and instant messaging.

Please take time to consider your options carefully. Please click the self-assessment below to determine if this program if right for you.

Extra Curricular and Co-Curricular Programs

Local Capistrano Unified students have the opportunity to participate in athletic team sports and fine arts programs (band, orchestra, theater) at CUSD comprehensive high schools. This is a unique opportunity that is not commonly available to students attending online schools. Audition and try-out requirements apply.  Students are only allowed to participate in co-curricular and extra curricular activities at their "Home" high school which is designated by CUSD Board Policy.
