Pre-enrollment 2012-13 (NEW)

Click Here  for your pre-enrollment form.  This online form is the first step in officially enrolling at Cal Prep for the 2012-13 school year.  Cal Prep will have limited space and enrollment is based on a first come first served basis.  The pre-enrollment website (which is step one of the process) will open at 8:00 am on Monday, April 2nd.  Go to the ENROLLMENT PAGE to view the entire process.

About Cal Prep

California Preparatory Academy is the new independent study high school established through Capistrano Unified School District.  California Preparatory Academy has the benefits and flexibility of virtual curriculum blended with face- to-face instruction with highly qualified Capistrano Unified teachers.  Here are some of the advantages to a blended educational program through the California Preparatory Academy: 

  • Cal Prep students will have access to UC/CSU approved coursework.
  • Individualized instruction with Capistrano Unified Teachers.
  • Cal Prep students can participate in CIF sanctioned sports at their home high school.
  • Cal Prep students have more flexibility when it comes to completing school work.
  • Cal Prep students can dual-enroll at your home high school.  Students may take one or two classes at their home high school while they are enrolled at Cal Prep.
  • Cal Prep students can participate in co-curricular activities at their home high school.  Some of these co-curricular events may include drama, band, newspaper, and yearbook.  Audition and try-out requirements apply.
  • Cal Prep students will learn essential 21st Century Skills.
  • Different pacing options for students that include Advanced Placement (AP), honors and accelerated courses, as well as credit recovery.
