2014-15 Registration Packet Pick Up/Drop Off and Student Orientation
REGISTRATION PACKET PICK UP FOR 2014-15: Pick up Registration packets at Cal Prep Academy on August 11, 12, and 13.
REGISTRATION PACKET DROP OFF FOR 2014-15: Drop off completed Registration packets at Cal Prep Academy on August 18, 19, 20, and 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sign up for an Orientation date and time when you drop off your completed packet.
STUDENT ORIENTATION FOR 2014-15: Orientation for All (new and returning) students will take place on September 2nd, 3rd and 4th. When you drop off your registration packet in August, you will sign up for a 2-hour orientation session. Students are required to attend one 2-hour orientation session. Parents are highly encouraged to attend the orientation session with their student.

Cal Prep Academy Parent & Student Preview for 2014-2015
Parents and students please join us for a Parent & Student Preview meeting to learn more about Cal Prep Academy, an online blended high school for 9th through 12th grade students.
Please refer to the attached flyer for dates and times.
NEW TO CUSD STUDENT ENROLLMENT
Please go to www.capousd.org and click Parent Link on the left-hand side of the page. Click on New Student Enrollment. Follow all the steps and allow at least 20 to 30 minutes to complete the forms. Please bring the following when you register at Cal Prep:
Two Current Proofs of Residency:
Rental agreement or house deed (must have), AND
Electric, gas, water or telephone bill
Complete Immunization Records:
Yellow immunization card OR
A signed copy from former school, OR
Signed copy from the doctor’s office
MUST INCLUDE T-DAP
Birth Certificate or Valid Passport
Complete Address of Last School Attended
Final Grades AND
Tests Scores (if available)
Parent Portal Information
Parents are encouraged to create a Parent Portal access account, which will allow them to update student information in the District’s database, review student attendance by period and see an unofficial transcript of their child’s progress.
Information regarding creating a Parent Portal account can be found at: https://abi.capousd.org/ or by going to the district’s main web site and finding the Parent Portal link under Parent Links. Instructions for creating an account can be found by clicking here or by following the information that is available on the district’s website under the Parent Portal link.
Please note that 3 pieces of information are required in order to create the account.
A letter containing this information will also be mailed to parents without portal accounts prior to registraton should a report card not be available. Assistance is also available from the front office once it reopens on August 13, 2013.
Students should also create a Student Portal account so that they have access to the same information and records as the Parent Portal. Students need their seven digit student ID number, an email address (must be different than their parents’), and the unique verification code that was used to create the Parent Portal account. Beginning next school year, students will use their Student Portal account to complete the registration process and choose their classes. It will be essential for students to have a valid Student Portal account to properly register for courses in the future. Students will not have the ability to change the data that parents enter in the Parent Portal.
